Sarah Burton for Mcqueen

Someone i have become really interested in towards the end of the year was Sarah Burton! Paris Fashion week and she practially had all eyes on her. The collection still had the feel of Alexander McQueen's designs but she embraced her feminine side, and gave the collection that extra romance that pushed it into the new era. That made everyone stop and watch. With exaggerated hips, tight corset/bodices and broad shoulders, she tried to accentuate the female figure, which she achieved, with full marks. The materials - Chiffon, silk, lace and handmade feather butterflies gave it elegance and sophistication.

The collection, sexy and female, still had every ounce of McQueen about it which i think no-one could fault. She showed herself to be a brilliant designer, and one i think, that will be around for many more fashion weeks to come.

Ikea trip and getting lost in wonderland!

Today i went to ikea, a whole world of boxes, beds, duvets and cushions! I fall in love with something everytime i'm there, and this time me and my mum got ideas for our living room!! I went a bit crazy with the ideas suggesting lots of things, so i had to have someone to reign me in!

When i got home i watched Alice in wonderland (2010 edition, not the classic). I love this film! its brilliant. You get lost in a world of questions, a range of amazing costumes, brilliant characters and most of all, a brilliantly funny Johnny Depp.
Definately a productive day off in my mind!!

'wish i was there' moment!

I could really do with being here right now! I can't be doing with the minus temperatures and the rain! So the countdown begins...

The new 1970's style.

I've recently become obsessed with finding cute shift and babydoll dresses, not to mention little frilly ankle socks. But i always forget about the accessories. little satchel bags or long pendants, or even little lace gloves! but i love the fact that people are starting to wear 70's hats. i mean i never have the guts to wear something that will draw attention to me but i have fallen in love!

This one from asos.com is lush!

i love london...

I recently got offered a place at a university in London and i can't wait! London is so inspiring and i love getting lost there. you can always find something to do or too see and i have spent many years finding new places! i love it!!
